have you every dissected a black cherry with your bare hands?
have you reached inside for the fruit within the fruit? grasping for the shell.
it's a messy process.
the dark crimson streaks across your hands, and an onlooker would suspect you had just butchered a mini person.

pitted cherries, then - in cocktails, in marschino cherry jars - how is it done?
no more cherries in my smoothies..
